The Uxbridge Cottage Auxiliary Fundraising Committee strives to achieve new and innovative projects to raise monies, with the help of our many volunteers, to maintain and purchase new equipment for our hospital. We have pledged $100,000.00 annually to The Foundation. Additional funds are designated to volunteer education and scholarships.
Men, women and teens from all walks of life make up the auxiliary membership. Members utilize a multitude of talents to benefit the hospital, contribute to the community at large, and at the same time derive personal enjoyment and satisfaction from their accomplishments. A newsletter is produced and distributed to inform members of the many activities planned and completed.
All active members are invited to meet with the Auxiliary Board at 1:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month, from September to May, in the Cottage Hospital Board Room.
The Cottage Hospital (Uxbridge) is a community hospital servicing the citizens of the Township of Uxbridge and adjoining area but open to serve all those in need of hospital care. It is governed by a Board of Directors within the framework of relevant legislation and by-laws and as part of the Ontario Health Care System.
The hospital has twenty-six beds and provides a wide range of in-patient and out-patient services on a regular basis including day surgery and clinics attended by visiting specialists. |
