New to this year’s event is the option to Sponsor an Athlete and/or Donate online. It is easy!!! Here is how:
- If you are registering for any of the events online, there is an option to donate as you pay by credit card through the Running Room site.
- If you choose to fill out the registration form in person, there is also an option to give more. Any amount will be appreciated and welcomed!
- If you wish to sponsor a friend or family member, please just click on Sponsor an Athlete in the top right hand corner of the Running Room race entry page or below.
Net proceeds from this charitable event go directly towards the Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, a site of the Markham Stouffville Hospital Corporation. This year the net proceeds have been designated towards the purchase of a state of the art Ultrasound Machine with an echocardiography probe. This important diagnostic tool sends high frequency sound waves to create images of one’s “still” anatomy, such as thyroid and liver. This machine can also evaluate the motion of blood flow in veins and arteries, the beating heart and the growth of the in-utero fetus. Medical professionals can then investigate any illness with accuracy and potential for early diagnosis. Furthermore, wait times will dramatically decrease. It is a win-win scenario for everyone.

The Uxbridge Hospital Auxiliary urges everyone that cares about the quality of life and health in our region to participate, volunteer or donate to this spectacular event - your donation is so needed and appreciated! Tax receipts will be issued for all donations over $15.00. The Uxbridge Hospital Auxiliary is dedicated to our community hospital and its volunteers give freely their time and support.
